Combocurve API Roadmap

Hello,

Is there a roadmap for feature releases for the combocurve API? There are a few features that would enable a lot of our internal processes, and knowing when or if they might be released would help us plan accordingly. For instance, syncing forecasts through the API would help us maintain up-to-date PDP forecasts in our database. Also, syncing price data would make it easier to sync pricing data. Similarly for GPT terms, opex, etc. Thank you for the help!

Jeff,

A roadmap is a great idea. I’ll start working on it with the team. We do have forecast improvements on the way. We can also start exploring pricing and other features you mentioned. Honestly, a lot of our API development is based on requests, so please feel free to send us suggestions.

Thanks Derek!

here is what i think would be most impactful for us:

  • Ability to sync forecast monthly volumes. Syncing the forecast parameters is helpful, but it would be a big lift for us to parse that data and generate our own monthly forecasts.
  • Sync pricing data, RSV CAT data, differentials, stream properties, opex, and capex parameters, and risking by well
  • ability to sync type curves by monthly volume. we store our type curves as time-normalized monthly volumes instead of the decline parameters
  • Ability to patch well records instead of simply putting. ideally, if we make a change in our system just that change could be pushed instead of updating the entire record.

OK, I have got all of this down for an upcoming planning meeting. I can’t make any guarantees at this point, but I think there will be lots of new development on the API going forward. I think a lot of these suggestions will find traction.

Hey Jeff. I was adding these items to the roadmap, and it occurred to me that we actually have a patch for well records already in the API.
