I’m exploring the best methods to integrate our internal data systems with ComboCurve. I understand there are several options available, including ComboSync, REST API Integration, and Manual Upload/Export.
Our team is relatively small, and while we have some technical expertise, we aim to minimize the time spent on manual data uploads and reduce the potential for errors. We seek a solution that balances automation with ease of implementation.
What are the best methods to integrate our internal data systems with Combo Curve, especially considering the potential benefits of incorporating insights from a Machine Learning tutorial for improved automation and data analysis?
Your insights would be invaluable in helping us choose the most suitable integration approach for our needs.
Thanks for reaching out. I can break this down a bit for you to help in your decision-making here:
ComboSync is our white glove integration service. We would install a data agent locally on your server that would facilitate dataflow transactions between your environment and ours. We can pull public (S&P, Enverus, TGS) datasets as well as your own op/non-op data from a local database, for example, on a scheduled cadence. We can also configure native data extractions from ComboCurve from a variety of endpoints and land this data back to your environment as well. This solution utilizes our external REST API, but you would not be responsible for any code, just management of the data itself. Please work with your ComboCurve account manager for pricing details.
REST API is our self-service integration option, and has a reduced fee compared to ComboSync. We’d grant you access to your ComboCurve tenant’s API keys, and you would be responsible for writing and maintaining your requests against the various endpoints. We keep related documentation for this at docs.api.combocurve.com.
Manual data ingestion/extraction is great for small datasets and is of course free to use. You would simply use our interface for this.
Given the size of your team, you might consider our ComboSync solution or a hybrid approach between Sync and our API. While Sync will definitely help reduce the burden of writing/managing code, there is much more customizability with a direct API solution given a client’s specific needs against certain endpoints.
